On The Way Home...

We got up at 5:15, left MB at 6:15. Small tribulations on the way out...Cade's clothes were wet somehow and we almost left Prietzel. So grateful Daddy found him in the condo right as we were ready to leave. Hoping these are our 2 biggest travesties today.

So far, so good. Homeward bound.

MB Day 6

Today started with a trick from Lyla & Cade...standing me beneath a huge bucket of water that seemed never ending when it fell. Note Lyla's little hand on her hip:

We headed to the Boardwalk today and to the Ferris wheel. We all loved looking at the beach from above:

We made it back to the Sea Captain's House, one of our favorite spots from the first time we went to MB, 7 years ago. Lyla first started to try to walk in the backyard. Despite a disastrous take out order tonight, it was fun to go back for a few photos:

Races in the backyard:

More beach time tonight, and the mean boss was back in full force. "There's no time for breaks! Keep digging!" This boy has loved digging on this trip.

MB - Day 7

Ahhh...last days are so bittersweet. Lyla shed a few tears today about saying goodbye to Myrtle Beach. It's hard, even when going home is a good thing all in all. We filled the day with all those things you forgot to do or things you wanted to do just one more time.

The kids even got Mimi to go down the slide. Ha!

Underwater pictures from Daddy:

The mean Sand Boss was back one last time to build one more sand creation - this one designed to lure birds with cheetos. "You've all eaten, now it's time to work with no breaks!"

And, Lance hurt his foot, so Mimi and I were in charge of helping with boarding in the ocean one last time with Lyla. This was one of the most hilarious moments of the trip for me. It was so much fun.

It's a long ride home tomorrow, but at least I'm doing it with my favorite people in the whole world.

MB - Day 5

After a few slides down the water slide, we decided to go to Broadway at the Beach to shop for awhile.

There was some rain today, so it was a good time for it. Lyla got her Build a Bear, Sophie. And, Cade decided to forgo Build a Bear for a new fidget spinner and fidget spinner case.

Lyla painted a box at craft time at the condo:

We spent another evening on the beach until the rain returned.

Mimi buried Cade in the sand:

And, more digging before the rainbow...Cade thinks it's a "Fairy Rainbow", sent by fairies.

And, a late night walk on the Beach for Mommy & Daddy. It was a fantastic night!
