Nan told the kids we wouldn't be home until evening, so we were able to surprise them when the returned home from Cade's soccer game in the early afternoon. It was so good to hear their little voices enter the house and see the surprise on their faces!
They've been so happy to have us home, and being with them has been the best. Lyla admitted that she cried several times at night while we were gone, which makes me feel even better to be here. I loved putting them to bed last night.
