Dr. Seuss, The Flu and Other Things

It's been a long last few days. 

Cade had a great Dr. Suess Week at school last week:

Lyla got to attend the Sound of Music in Nashville the weekend prior:

 

And, I got these 2 cuties for lunch dates - such giggle boxes!

 

 

Over the weekend, unfortunately, we've been dealing with the flu. Poor Cade E. Bugg has been suffering for the last few days. Praying he's on the mend soon. 

 

I love this life. 

Vicent's Bday Party by Lyla

 

On Vincent's birthday party it was really great.The reason was because I rode to the party with Jonathon and he brought a lot of books into the car. We read a lot of funny stories.One of them was Dinasaur's love tacos. We had a really good time at Vincent's birthday.In the beginning I tried to find Maya with Jonathon's mom.I think she was playing skee ball with her dad.At the first moment I didn't talk to her. But when we had pizza we talked a lot.Then we had cookie cake.After all of that cake we did the birthday dance and after that me and Maya talked more then we went to play more video games.Then we got our prizes and left.  -Lyla

Our sweet artist has been working diligently to create a Panda Valentine's box for next week:

 

 

She's so much fun to work with...she found the idea and drew the eyes and ears herself. 

And, today, we got to see her artwork presented at the Oldham County Arts Center, where she was chosen to represent Crestwood for Oldham County. We are so proud of her work, which shows a girl who "just loves everything". Sounds familiar. The assignment was to draw a portrayal of your "story":
