Carrie's Visit & A Cookout at Joe's

Carrie, an old friend of mine from our Columbus days who currently lives in St. Louis, came to visit this weekend. We had a great time, and Lyla immediately made a new forever friend.

We all went to a cookout at Joe Carpenter's on Saturday. It was a great time for Lyla because she got to hang out with Liam, see her cousin, Isabella, and meet some new friends - especially Cara and Erin. Cara is just 11 days older than Lyla. They had a great time together.

Look What I Can Do!!

Suddenly this morning, Lyla decided she could sit up. She's been practicing for some time, but today she did it for more than 5 minutes at a time. We're so proud of her! She even got to show off her new trick to Grandma Hottman in a visit there this afternoon.
