We Are Here!!

It was the longest 5 hours ever. Apparently, everyone in the South has decided to vacation here this week. The car ride that seemed to last forever finally resulted in getting us here. 

Overheard in the backseat:

"What does e-n-t-h-u-s-i-a-s-t-i-c spell? Oh, yeah...enthusiastic!" -Lyla, while reading.

"Where is the Florida building? And when are we going to get there?" -Cade 

(We finally realized that the "Florida building is the condo.)

Cade finds lots of interesting ways of passing the time in the backseat, and of course, most of them include wires: 

The traffic was crazy when we finally got here, but we finally made it. 

Lance volunteered to do the dreaded grocery trip this year while I took the kids to the pool. The biggest dilemma has been who will get to sleep on the top bunk first: 

And, more wire fascination...Cade explored the condo looking for old phones, cables, etc., and proudly set this up tonight:

Tonight was wonderful...we ate pizza on our balcony and spent the evening at the beach. The kids loved digging tunnels in the sand and searching for sand crabs.

We're looking forward to a good night's rest and more adventures tomorrow. The Tooth Fairy will hopefully visit Lyla at the beach tonight, and she says she wants to get her ears pierced tomorrow...

I love the Beach. Especially with these 2 sweets.
