There have been a few new things with Lyla over the last few days. She continues to talk and talk and talk and talk…one of her favorite new words is, “Ball”, which we think is funny since Nan says this was Daddy’s first word.
So, we decided to get her a great big red one:
I laughed and thought about Aunt Carole today and the day she helped us move into our house in Cincinnati. She joked that our bar, complete with crystal martini glasses, would not be the greatest scenario for a toddler. I laughed at her, thinking that was miles and miles into the future…well, it wasn’t so far away, and she was exactly right. Today, we had to replace our martini glasses with Lyla’s books. She helped:
And, we were happy that Daddy put together Lyla’s shopping cart, which was a gift from Callie Sue for her 1st birthday. He’s getting really good at this, which is a relief as I’m sure there will be many dollhouses in our future:
And, Lyla has decided she likes to drink from a glass with Daddy. Hmmmm…I guess we really need to discontinue that night time bottle…
